About

The University of Denver’s Early Experience Program allows academically prepared high school juniors and seniors to enroll in undergraduate courses for DU credit. Participation is selective; most successful applicants maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and must submit parent and school approval forms along with a personal essay. Participants take regular DU courses alongside matriculated undergraduates on the quarter system. The program is commuter-based or available online, as on-campus housing is not provided for high school participants. Admitted students benefit from a half-tuition scholarship, making it a cost-effective way to earn official transcript credit that is often transferable to other institutions. This option is best suited for local or virtual learners seeking authentic college-level coursework within a private urban research university rather than a residential pre-college program.
