Saul Lelchuk is an author and lifelong educator. He graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a B.A. in English and holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from Dartmouth College.
His love for education began early, when working as a summer camp counselor at Harvard’s Peabody Museum. Since then, he has taught and studied pedagogy at the Dartmouth Institute of Writing and Rhetoric and directed gifted programs for the National Society for the Gifted and Talented at UC Berkeley and other campuses. He has designed and taught writing curricula at the graduate, undergraduate, and secondary school levels.
Lelchuk holds a faculty position as Senior Lecturer at Dartmouth College’s Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies, where he has taught literature and creative writing since 2016. He also enjoys teaching internationally, most recently at the Università degli Studi di Napoli L'Orientale in Naples, Italy. As an author, his novels have been translated into multiple languages worldwide and optioned for film and television.
With over fifteen years of experience as a NACAC and WACAC-accredited independent college counselor, he has guided students from across the U.S. and from dozens of countries worldwide through the college admissions process.
