The University of Chicago Summer Session’s Pre-College Programs invite academically ambitious high-schoolers to engage in undergraduate-level study within a vibrant research-university context. Participants may choose from several tracks, including intensive 1-week Enrichment, 2-week Career Insight, and credit-bearing 3- or 4-week residential programs, as well as extended online modules (3-8 weeks). Courses span humanities, STEM, social sciences, and language study, offering students a dynamic mix of discussion, research, and field-experience. Residential housing in Hyde Park is required for most on-campus programs (unless commuting locally), and online formats enable broader access. International students are also welcome to join a global community of thinkers drawn by UChicago’s academic reputation and environment. Because admission is selective rather than open-enrollment, students should be well-prepared and motivated. For those seeking a challenging and expansive summer preview of rigorous college work, this program delivers a full-spectrum academic experience at one of the country’s most intellectually exciting universities.
