About

POWER aims to introduce local high school students from historically marginalized communities to topics in sustainability and energy research. We are motivated by the goal of diversifying the pipeline of future energy leaders.
Throughout the academic year (October-June), POWER teachers will travel to local high schools and host in-person workshops on science and engineering fundamentals that underpin cutting-edge energy technologies of the 21st century. The workshops will be approximately 1.5 - 2hrs total (flexible) and include hands on activities to teach and explore scientific concepts.

In addition to workshops, POWER will introduce students to active areas of energy research through lab tours at Stanford and professional panels to provide insight into energy research, career paths, and opportunities for students to explore.
