NYU’s Online High School Screenwriters Workshop is a four-week, for-credit summer course offered through the Tisch School of the Arts. Designed to introduce aspiring young writers to professional screenwriting craft and narrative structure, the program awards participants 4 college credits. From July 6 to July 31, 2026, students study story fundamentals, character development, dialogue, and screenplay formatting while workshopping original scenes and scripts. Tuition is $8,008, plus a $75 application fee and a $1,500 enrollment deposit. Technical requirements include a computer with a webcam, microphone, and a reliable internet connection using the Chrome browser.
