Lehigh University’s Summer Programs give high-school students the opportunity to explore college-level academics within a mid-sized private research university known for strengths in engineering and business. Participants may choose from structured non-credit programs such as the Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Intensive (IGEI) or the Summer Engineering Institute (SEI), depending on their interest. Coursework emphasizes team-based problem-solving and leadership, allowing students to engage with rigorous material in specialized labs and studios. Residential participants (primarily in the three-week IGEI track) live on campus in Bethlehem and have access to Lehigh’s academic resources, while commuter and select virtual workshops expand access for regional and international students. Enrollment requires a selective application review—including transcripts and a recommendation—rather than open enrollment. For families seeking a technically rigorous experience at a private research university, Lehigh provides a focused pathway into college-level study and campus life.
