Harvey Mudd College’s Summer Session allows academically advanced high school juniors and seniors to enroll in regular undergraduate courses for official Harvey Mudd credit. Participation is selective; students must submit transcripts and demonstrate mastery of prerequisites—such as AP-level chemistry or calculus for engineering tracks—reflecting the rigor of a top-tier STEM curriculum. Courses are standard offerings taken alongside Harvey Mudd undergraduates, and for 2026, includes the debut of ENGR004: Introduction to Engineering Design and Manufacturing (E4) as a summer option. The program is either commuter-based or online, as on-campus housing is not provided for high school participants. Successful completion results in an official university transcript with credits typically transferable to other institutions. This pathway is best suited for exceptionally prepared students seeking authentic, fast-paced STEM coursework rather than enrichment-style summer camps.
