About

Cornell University Pre-College Studies is designed for high-school students who want a direct, academically focused introduction to real university coursework. Participants choose from intensive three- or six-week undergraduate classes taught by Cornell faculty, offered on campus in Ithaca, online, or through commuter options. The summer curriculum condenses semester-long material into accelerated sessions, giving students a clear sense of college expectations while engaging with subjects across STEM, humanities, and the social sciences. Students living on campus have full access to Cornell’s residential community, while online and commuter pathways make the program accessible for families around the world. Each summer, learners from more than fifty countries join the cohort, adding significant global diversity. Admission is selective rather than open-enrollment, emphasizing academic readiness and maturity. For students seeking a structured, academically rigorous pathway into college-level study at a major research university, Cornell Pre-College delivers a strong and focused summer experience.
