Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs invite motivated high-school students entering grades 9–12 to engage in rigorous academic summer study on campus, as commuters, or online. With over 70 course options across a dozen subject areas—including humanities, STEM, social sciences and arts—students join a diverse cohort from around the world and experience Columbia’s urban Morningside campus environment. Residential housing is available for those living on campus, while commuter and online formats provide flexibility for local and international participants. Admission is selective, not open-enrollment—applicants are evaluated for academic readiness, maturity, and intellectual curiosity. International applicants are welcomed, and early application is advised as admissions are handled on a rolling basis while space is available.
