The Drexel Camp Business program is a one-week summer business immersion for high school students offered by the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business at Drexel University. Designed for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors, the program introduces foundational concepts such as marketing, finance, accounting, and business strategy through interactive workshops and a culminating team business pitch competition. For 2026, the program offers three sessions: Residential Blue (July 13–17), Commuter (July 20–24), and Residential Gold (July 27–31). Students gain practical exposure to the undergraduate business environment, working closely with faculty and student mentors in Philadelphia.
To be eligible, applicants must be entering grades 10–12 in the fall of 2026. The application requires an official high school transcript and a short essay (100–300 words) responding to one of three prompts regarding the student's professional or creative identity. The priority deadline to apply for 2026 is May 1. The 2026 tuition is $2,000 for residential sessions and $950 for the commuter session; a $250 deposit is due upon acceptance. Need-based scholarships are available through alumni-sponsored outreach funds.
Instruction is modeled after a week at a top-tier business school, featuring at least four hours of daily lectures supplemented by guest speakers from industry experts. Students are divided into teams to solve real-world business challenges and prepare for a final pitch presentation.
Camp Business is rooted in LeBow’s emphasis on experiential learning and applied problem-solving. For students seeking an introductory experience to business concepts or deciding whether to pusue the field in future years, Camp Business offers a glimpse at what this major can entail.
Drexel’s LeBow College of Business is known for integrating cooperative education (co-op) into its undergraduate programs, and Camp Business reflects this applied focus by emphasizing real-world business problem solving rather than abstract theory.
