About

The Notre Dame Pre-College Online Business courses offer students ages 13 and up a flexible way to explore entrepreneurship and finance through a faculty-designed, asynchronous format. For the 2026 cycle, students can choose from two primary tracks: Business: From Startup to Success and Finance: Creating and Building Wealth. Courses are offered in either two-week or four-week sessions throughout the year, with a standard tuition of $1,795 per course.

The curriculum is built around dynamic video lessons from Notre Dame faculty, complemented by one-on-one mentor support. In the Business track, students learn to differentiate between corporations, LLCs, and sole proprietorships while mastering the "Language of Business" through income statements and balance sheets. The Finance track delves into asset classes, risk management, and budgeting. Both courses culminate in a mandatory Capstone Project; for example, business students design a comprehensive launch and "go public" strategy for a hypothetical electric vehicle manufacturer.

Admission is open and requires only a completed online application. While these courses do not confer university credit, successful participants receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Notre Dame. For the upcoming spring cohorts, application deadlines are set for February 22 and March 8, 2026.

Institutionally, these courses are designed to bridge the gap between high school interest and collegiate-level analysis. By providing a structured environment with professional feedback, the program allows students to build a technical portfolio and explore potential majors in the Mendoza College of Business or related fields before entering university. For students eager to pursue business, Notre Dame's Leadership Seminars offer one of the best and only tuition-free opportunities available.
