The Babson College Summer Study is a three-week academic program for rising high school juniors and seniors that introduces the logic and practice of entrepreneurial thought. Taught by Babson faculty using the institution’s Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® methodology, the program is available in a fully online format or an in-person residential format hosted at the New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) in Marlborough, Massachusetts. For the Summer 2026 session, scheduled for July 8–28, the curriculum centers on EPS 1110: Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Experience, a college-level course that grants participants four Babson College academic credits.
The academic structure is intensive, combining three hours of daily morning lectures with a significant afternoon and evening workload. Students are expected to commit an additional five hours per day (40 hours per week total) to individual assignments and team-based venture development. In-person participants at NEIA supplement the Babson coursework with the Kreate Summer AI Program, which explores the intersection of generative AI and the future of work. Online students participate in live, synchronous virtual classrooms that bring the global cohort together for foundational lectures before splitting into smaller professor-led sections.
Admission follows a rolling, non-selective enrollment process that prioritizes meeting foundational eligibility rather than a competitive review. Applicants must be at least 15 years old by July 8, 2026, and must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 90 (or equivalent). Enrollment for 2026 is divided into two rounds: Round One (Early Bird) closes on February 13, and Round Two (Standard) closes on March 13. Because sessions are capped to maintain small class sizes, tracks often reach capacity shortly after the Early Bird deadline.
Tuition for the 2026 cycle varies significantly by format: the fully online track is $6,295, the in-person day track is $9,295, and the full residential experience is $12,995. The residential fee includes double-occupancy housing at NEIA, all meals, and supervised weekend excursions to Boston, MIT, and Harvard. Limited need-based financial aid is available, with a required application deadline of February 13.
Institutionally, the program mirrors the pedagogical framework of Babson’s undergraduate business school, which is consistently recognized for its focus on entrepreneurship. Students leave with a formal university transcript and a portfolio of work documenting their ability to frame problems, evaluate market opportunities, and lead collaborative projects. By focusing on action-based learning, the program provides a substantive bridge for students seeking to understand the professional and economic mechanics of launching a venture.
Babson Summer Study uses the same EPS 1110 course number and syllabus as Babson’s undergraduate entrepreneurship curriculum.
