The National Economics Challenge is America's premier competition for high school economics students. It offers a platform for students to compete with peers on a national scale in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Personal Finance. The challenge typically operates through state-level competitions. State champion teams advance to a national semi-final round. The top four teams from the semi-finals then proceed to the national finals, which are held in a major US city, such as Atlanta. The ultimate prize for these top four teams is an all-expense paid trip (excluding travel) to the national finals event. It is free to enter and open to all high school grades.
st place: $1,000
nd place: $500
rd place: $250
th place: $200 (at the in-person National Finals)
